Price fix option takes the guesswork out of studying the menu. Waiter was extremely helpful with wine selection. The gnocchi and beef cheek were excellent. Great non touristy choice.

What a great authentic Roman cuisine experience! If you're only into spaghetti bolognese and the beaten tourist menu, you may want to skip this one. Great wine selection, fine Roman dishes, wonderful service and a real family business and food prepared with both passion and respect for tradition and origin. Thank you for a lovely evening! We escaped the usual Trastevre tourist traps.

If you’re looking for a good and tasty dinner, This place is where to go in Trastevere. We’ve been trying alot of different places in the area that cater for tourist and none can be compaired to This place. Food 10/10 and service 10/10. Ismail, our server made our experience so good! We argue that This is the best aperitivo, drinks and dinner place in the area and we know food You can’t find the place on Instagram so that makes it ”our secret place” here in Rome. Try it!

Nice authentic Italian food! Fresh ingredients, and homemade pasta. The waiter could recommend you for their specialties. Fishes are fresh. We had Seabass capaccio (so yummy!) and zucchini flower for appetizers. Then risotto with shrimp (again, very fresh shrimp and lovely risotto - not extremely hard rice and not too soft) and homemade pasta with clam. For meat we had lamb chops and steak. For light dessert, we asked and they can prepare something for us even not listed in the menu: juicy melon from Sicily and strawberries with cream. The place was pretty quiet as they have been there since 1965 so the look may not be attractive as other new restaurants nearby. But as I first knew the area 20 years ago, after our long walk, I selected this Bruno place and we were very much satisfied. Highly recommend

Fantastic regional Food, good quality very nice service. We shared our food and got extra plates easily. We tried aperativo, 2 primo and 3 secondi and 2 dolce as a group of 3, everything was best quality. We had a perfect carbonara, the best ever in Italy (and we are here quite often). Wine and limoncello tasted great. Next time in rome we will come again!

I tried going to that "other" place, walked by an hour before they were open and the lines on either side of the street was an immediate turnoff Also if I left a review, would that review have any impact on here? Probably not. So I kept walking, and instead of looking for the places with hundreds (thousands?) of reviews, went to the the opposite end of the spectrum and ended up here. The reviews I read were great, so I decided to give it a shot. I was welcomed by an Italian nonna who opened the door for me...and was seated right away. The menu is pretty straight forward, ordered the caprese salad and spaghetti amatriciana with a bottle of sparkling water. (Pause as I wait for my food, I'll snap a few pics and finish this review after I've eaten). Resume. Both meals were great, fresh tasty and honestly nothing to complain about. This place has zero hype, just about every other table that was dining here spoke Italian so I'm guessing they're locals that just want a nice meal and want to avoid the crowds. Definitely recommend...
